Introducing ASIKE
African Sisters for Information, Knowledge and Empowerment (ASIKE), grew out of a unified objective to empower women of African descent in metro-Atlanta. ASIKE was established in March of 2005 with a mission to redefine the image of the African woman by empowering women of African descent through Education, information, advocacy and sisterhood. Our Aims and Objectives:

  • Empower women through knowledge and information sharing, mentorship programs and leadership training in order to equip them to be effective leaders in their respective communities on the local, national and global stage.
  • Connect individuals and organizations to resources that empower and advance our collective mission and goals.
  • Be a forum for mutual understanding of Africa, African immigrants, Afro Caribbean and African American women, as well as broaden understanding and knowledge of development issues that affect our communities both in the US and abroad.
  • Be the provider of information and knowledge that enhances the personal and professional development of its members through ASIKE activities and events.
