• The Health Committee is ASIKE's resource for health information for her members, their families and our communities.
• The ASIKE Health Day is our annual event whose objective is to encourage healthy behavior and lifestyles in our communities. We have a different theme each year to meet this objective.
• We participate in conferences or other health forums that educate the communities on different issues such as Hepatitis in the African immigrant communities, HIV/AIDS, etc. ASIKE participated in the Uganda North America Medical Society (UNAMS) in May 2007.
• We pride ourselves in being an annual co-sponsor of the Attention to Health Education in the African Diaspora (AHEAD) summit spear headed by the Prevention, Effectiveness Consortium in Health and Education (PECHE).

The party with a purpose train starts here!!!!

ASIKE's work is never finished unless there is a party with a purpose. The Social committee ensures that "Hard work and equal celebration" keep our ladies balanced.

• The role of the Social Committee is to coordinate and organize various celebration events of the organization
• This committee coordinates
  ASIKE's Annual Signature Event
  held in March of each year in celebration of International Women's month and ASIKE's birthday. This is also our largest fundraiser of the year.
• We are responsible for the End of the Year Celebration with ASIKE members, friends and families.
• We are committed to ensuring that member's have a positive experience within the organization as they work to further the goals and objectives of the organization
